Sports Premium

The focus for the academic year 2018-2019 is:

•Collaboration with specialist teachers of Physical Education

•CPD for all teaching staff to increase their range of skills

•Improving existing resources/equipment for teaching PE.

•Use of outside agencies to deliver workshops

•Training for support staff including Midday supervisors on active lunchtimes.

•Increasing participation in school sport.

•Employment of external coaches to provide opportunities for children to compete (i.e. in tournaments and fixtures between the local cluster primary schools, and within the trust).

•Buying into existing local sports networks

 

The impact will be measured by:

•A greater confidence in planning and delivery of high quality PE lessons.

•A deeper understanding of the expectations of the new Primary PE curriculum, including a focus on fitness and health.

•Assessments of pupils’ skills and development in PE.

•Increased participation in PE and Sport, including links to local clubs and organisations.

 

The PE and Sport Grant for the 2018 to 2019 academic year is funded over two instalments.

St Augustine will receive £ 17,700 with an additional £2,972  rolling forward from previous years. After the allocation of 7,500 towards the MUGA, St Augustine will recieve a total of £13, 172.
