Sports Premium

In 2017/18 funding will be targeted towards the following areas:

      •     Continued Professional Development for staff via training courses.

      •     Adding and improving existing resources for teaching PE.

      •     Supporting extra-curricular club provision.

      •     Increasing active participation in school sport.

      •     Providing opportunities for children to compete within intra and inter sporting

            competitions

The impact of the Sports Premium funding will be measured by:

      •     An increase in delivery of high quality PE lessons as monitored by both SMT and PE

            Subject Leader.

      •     Understanding and planning the Primary PE curriculum 2014.

      •     Assessing pupil’s skills and knowledge.

  •  Increased participation within curricular and extra-curricular provision.

      •     Increased links to local clubs, organisations and other schools in the academy.

  • Greater links made with other external agencies who support positive, active, healthy lifestyles

  •  RAG rating of action plan.

 

The PE and Sport Grant for the 2017 to 2018 academic year is funded over two instalments.

St Augustine will receive £ 17,740 with £5,300 rolling forward from previous years meaning a total of £23,040.

What percentage of year 6 pupils could perform self-rescue in different water based situations when they left primary school at the end of last academic year.
