Pupils in danger of exclusion might also be referred to the HUB if they persistently display disruptive behaviour in school. The HUB is based at St Augustine School, which is part of the Trinitas Trust, it supports pupils who have been excluded and allows them to continue their education. The HUB aims to give pupils the opportunity to reflect and consider ways to correct their behaviour and become a fully integrated member of their school. It is an alternative consequence for a pupil’s poor behaviour and an alternative to a Fix Term Exclusion (FTE)
The HUB also works on early intervention, working with pupils on the cusp of exclusion, though mentoring on a weekly basis.
The HUB stands for ‘Helping Us Become…’
