Residential School Journey
NB: Coronavirus has had a huge impact on all aspects of our lives and therefore it has not been possible to arrange residential school trips for the students. We had planned for the children to go in July 2020 to PGL in East Sussex and this obviously did not take place. However, the details of the proposed trip have been left on this web page as a guide for any future trips we may hold for our students. As soon as it is considered safe for residential trips to take place, we will inform parents and carers of our plans and this page will be updated accordingly. In the meantime, please review the details below along with the gallery photographs.
Every year, we offer our Year 6 pupils the opportunity to enjoy a short residential trip. This year we are changing our venue and will be going to Pestalozzi PGL in East Sussex on 1st July to 3rd July 2020.
PGL are a leading residential activity centre provider, responsible for delivering safe and rewarding education programmes to over 165,000 children every year. By combining many National Curriculum-linked modules with thrilling outdoor and indoor adventure activities, the trip is sure to provide your children with a wealth of new experiences outside the classroom whilst developing key learning outcomes.
Residential courses organised by the school are, of course, an optional but invaluable part of the National Curriculum. Pupils benefit hugely from the experience, both educationally and socially and we feel certain that the programme which we choose will prove to be both enjoyable and very worthwhile.
Pupils have a wonderful time at this ideally suited nearby venue. A letter is sent home at the start of the term in September and the countdown begins to an exciting adventure!
